I hope you're enjoying your Summer! I know that I am loving the idea of free time with my husband and kids! The twin's aren't at the age where they will be engaging in summer camps but I know that we plan to do some traveling & some "stay-cations"! So, it got me to thinking: How can I make this summer easy for me & my family! Because the summer can be a hectic time with traveling, changes in kids schedules & a variety of family activities; today, I want to give you 3 tips on getting through the summer, STRESS FREE with your sanity!
Tip #1: Map out your schedule & Put everything on it
I do mean everything! The more you can plan out & put on paper, the less stressed you'll be! This is because the simple act of looking at a calendar and not having to worry if you are missing anything, is a powerful stress reliever.
Tip #2: Make a Monthly Food Schedule
The last thing you want to do is worry about whets for dinner! Taking a couple of days to plot out what you will eat for the rest of the month can help save you time & money, in addition to decreasing your stress! It also doubles as a tool for grocery shopping because you know exactly what you need for the month.
Extra Bonus: Plan for crock pot type meals on days when you're busiest. You can literally "set it & forget it"! Run errands then return home to a wonderfully smelling house!
Tip #3: Take advantage of online ordering
You already spend quite a bit of time online right! Whether it is waiting in line at the post office or waiting for the kids at soccer practice you are likely using your phone to pass time. So, why not use your phone to help you save time? This day and age you can do almost anything online, including grocery shopping. Save time by ordering your groceries online then picking them up while your running errands. You avoid long grocery store lines & save time by planning ahead.
Extra Bonus: You also avoid the impulse to get cookies and ice cream if you shop when you're hungry, like I do!
